Why Government-Run Healthcare Will Always Fail
VA Medical System is Socialized Healthcare at Work
The breaking story about the VA medical system leaving its constituency to suffer or die due to lack of promised care has a lot of people pretty upset. These were the guys our nation sent on missions all over the world to do our bidding. Now we find out they can’t get their damaged bodies treated within the system that was designed to take care of that very need.
The amount of money being spent per wounded soldier is higher than it has ever been. Yet we are hearing complaints from the VA that a shortage of funds lies at the heart of this situation. This is the forever excuse we get whenever government programs abuse the citizens. Is education bad? They need more money. Are there more poor families? More money is needed for welfare. Are poor mothers having a hard time buying food? More money is needed for food stamps. The real answers for the VA have nothing to do with needing more money. The actual need is to build medical programs in ways that are consistent with Biblical law and teaching. It is the power of the Christian gospel applied to this system that is needed.
Jesus Christ Saves Souls & Society
The gospel of Christ changes not just the soul but society as well. Instead of more regulations and more money we ought to commit to obeying God in this area of our culture.
Here are a few ideas that would help us start down a wiser path.
- God has never given the civil government the authority to provide or manage health care. Hence, the government ought to get out of this.
- Unbiblical regulation of the healthcare system is driving costs through the roof. There is no biblical warrant for the government to do this.
- Taxes required to support this godless system are not allowed under Biblical law. Financing for health care is to be from other sources; individuals, families, and churches, not government.
Give Up Government Healthcare & Return to God’s Ways
Between Obamacare and the VA medical centers wreckage, we are watching one of the biggest humanist social collapses ever propounded in America. These two programs represent hundreds of billions of dollars and a vast cut across society to produce their failed and failing results. They are two of the largest efforts at social engineering ever attempted by anti-Christian idealists in America. The proper work of individuals, families, and churches has been continually undermined by government intrusion into medicine, a place civil government simply does not belong. The reason government healthcare will always fail is that it is an area of involvement God has not ordained for civil government. Now would be a wonderful time to start returning these systems back to private hands, and get the government out of health care.
